Prayer Force Summer Update
I personally had an amazing and relaxing summer with time spent with my family and friends. I had a monumental Birthday celebration with my two children and grandchildren in July on the beautiful island of Maui. It was truly a blessing from the Lord. Many of you know that I assist in caring for my elderly parents and I want to give a fantastic praise report that at ages 89 and 90 they are doing well and live independently with the assistance of Vaden and I checking in on them daily. We have so much to be thankful for and live everyday with the realization that we are under God's abundant love, mercy and grace. I enter into this new autumn season with hopeful expectation of what the Lord has in store at this juncture in the journey.
Prayer Force ministry has been in somewhat of a rest mode through the summer months, not as though prayer ever stops of course. Our last trip was to Washington D.C. in June and we found that time to be one of our most productive assignments since we started visiting our nations capitol in June of 2001. We have seen some amazing breakthroughs and although on the surface our nation seems to be in a very difficult place, we see many things being revealed and exposed which is a sign that things are moving into a more positive direction.
I would like to ask for your prayer support as Prayer Force has been invited to participate in a Prayer Initiative to the United Nations Sept. 9-11 in New York City. We will be gathering with over 280 international intercessors and 40 child intercessors coming in form all over the world to participate in the meetings which will be held inside the United Nations Building. We are grateful for this amazing opportunity and covet your prayers for wisdom and keen discernment during this time. Please pray that we will be able to hear God's heart for the United Nations and that those who need to be there will be able to manage this trip.
Sue Rebar will be traveling with me as well as a close friend and ministry partner Lynn Heatley. Please pray for our unity and the ability to be flexible, follow the Holy Spirit's leading and flow as a team.
I have attached the tentative schedule for you to follow and pray through while we are gone.
Thank you so much as I know we are blessed to be able to travel and go on these strategic prayer assignments because of your partnering with us in prayer and finances.
Thank you again for your strong prayers and faithful support. Please note our schedule below.
In His Love & Service,
Joyce Smith
